Bert's new Riser
I took these shots of my
nearly complete Riser. This one has been done with some minor changes to the fuselage and some major to the wing.
You can see that the center
section has been made flat and the angle of the outer sections is reduced. I have incorporated ailerons and spoilers into
this wing. The spoilers are operated by a center mounted servo through siamesed cables, the ailerons by individual servos.
The fuselage does not have
the fin leading into the vertical stabilizer, instead a fin is added to the underside. This fin protects the extention of
the rudder below the fuselage. The rudder hangs lower and is enlarged by rearward extention. The elevator is enlarged by a
rearward extention. The hope here is that the need for less control deflection will give a reduction of drag with control
deflection and yet allow for incresed control effect with normal deflection.
The covering will be done
in golden yellow and metalic wine.
The construction is such
that a standard wing can be installed.
